WoD – 09.13.2013 + Update

This is the end of our first two weeks training at the gym!  I’d say we’ve had a pretty awesome 2 weeks!!  You have all been doing some GREAT work, and I’m pretty impressed with the effort of the athletes at Olive Branch CrossFit (Yeah, it makes me proud saying that).  The goals that everyone has written on the board are also awesome.  I’m going to keep those goals in mind as we program the workouts for the next 4 weeks.  We’ll be scratching a lot of those off the wall for sure.  Here are some highlights from the last two weeks…

Anyway, the point is that our little Olive Branch CrossFit community is shaping up to be pretty awesome, and you need to be a part of it if you aren’t already.  Seriously.  The “Founding Member” program ends on the 15th, so get with it!!

Before I get to the WoD for tomorrow, I’d like to send a shout out to an Endurance Athlete that I’ve been coaching for a while, Monica Rawson:

She’s going to be running a 50K in Bartlett on Saturday morning.  Not her first Ultra, but she IS going to PR this thing.  I’ll be out there at the starting line at 7am to give her a pep talk.  If you’re interested in what Ultra running is like, come on out to Stanky creek and join me in cheering her on.  Here’s a little peek inside one of my races:

Conditioning

  • 20 Turkish Getups
  • 50 Wallballs – 20#, 10′ target
